What is royalty-free music?

If a piece of music is labeled as "royalty-free", it doesn't mean the music is free, but rather that it doesn't require additional royalty payments. 

Jamendo Artists are fully independent and not linked to any Collective Management Organization (CMO), like BMI, SGAE, or GEMA, which means they do not collect additional fees from you. Our artists own all rights to their music, including author and publisher rights.

In essence, royalty-free music offers a straightforward and affordable licensing solution for legally using works by independent artists, covering both synchronization and broadcast rights.

Jamendo Artists

Jamendo's mission is twofold: First, we provide content creators with high-quality, all-rights-included music. Secondly, At Jamendo Licensing we support our artist community and contribute to their work by sharing the revenues from the licenses sold on Jamendo Licensing with them. 
Every time a license is purchased, the author receives a fair share of the price you pay - up to 60% of the license price.

Jamendo Artists are fully independent and not linked to any Collective Management Organization (CMO), like BMI, SGAE, or GEMA, which means that they own all rights to their music. By monetizing their music on Jamendo Licensing, artists are able to create a new source of revenue for themselves and support their careers as independent artists.

Create a Jamendo Licensing Account

To use the Jamendo Licensing services, you'll need a start by creating a user account. To create a Jamendo Licensing account, navigate to Jamendo Licensing and click the Login/Sign up button in the bottom left corner of the screen.

On the pop-up screen, find and click on the Sign up button:

In the Email field, add your email address and click on ​Continue with email.
You will be redirected to the sign up form, where you'll need to add your first and last name, and choose your password.

Finally tick the newsletter checkbox and click Register. 
Once you register your account for the first time, you will automatically logged in on the Jamendo Licensing website.

Logging into your Account

To log into your account, navigate to https://licensing.jamendo.com/ and click the Login/Sing up button in the bottom left corner of the screen. 
Add your email address and password and click Login.
