About Catalog Subscriptions
The Jamendo Licensing subscription plan provides you with unlimited access to the Jamendo Catalog, allowing you to secure licenses for all your online projects. Whether you choose the monthly or annual plan, you will enjoy unlimited access to the entire Jamendo Catalog.
With a Jamendo Catalog Subscription, you can download an unlimited selection of tracks for your online projects and obtain standard license certificates for the music you choose to incorporate into your final work.
The Standard License provided with the catalog subscription plan encompasses all online video endeavors, such as YouTube and social media content, digital advertising, monetized videos, website videos, and beyond.
You are authorized to:
- Use and reproduce an unlimited number of Works for the purpose of synchronization in an unlimited number of online Projects.
- Communicate to the public, publicly perform online and broadcast live the Works as synchronized with the Projects;
- Communicate to the public, publicly perform online the Works as synchronized with the Projects made available to the public for listening and/or viewing on demand (after the live broadcast).
- For example, the Project may be an audio-visual creation to be published on online platforms such as
- YouTube, Vimeo, Twitch, Facebook, Instagram, an online advertising, a podcast, an online corporate video, a personal or student video, an online charity campaign.
- Notwithstanding the foregoing, you are not allowed to use the Works for Projects that consist in or are related to online TV, online Radio or mobile applications.
If you want to broadcast your projects on radio, TV, during events, in the cinema, you will be required to purchase a broader Subscription.

Catalog Subscription Plans
We currently provide 4 subscription levels, all of which grant you access to the entire Jamendo catalog.
By purchasing a Personal Subscription, you will be granted the following usage rights:
- Modify or adapt the track to synchronize one track with one video or audio content that is published online:
- Use the track in a professional, corporate, commercial video or advertisement.
- Use the track in any audio content.
- Publish the project online (website, video channel, podcast,…).
- Whitelisting 1 (YouTube) social media account.
- You can cut the track, use loops of it and change its volume (fade-in; fade-out).
- You can NOT modify the work itself (e.g. remix the track, add lyrics to the track).
By purchasing a Professional Subscription, you will be granted the following usage rights:
- Modify or adapt the track to synchronize one track with one video or audio content that is published online:
- Use the track in any professional, corporate, commercial videos, advertisements.
- Use the track in any audio content.
- Publish the project online (website, video channel, podcast,…).
- Whitelisting 10 (YouTube) social media accounts.
- You can cut the track, use loops of it and change its volume (fade-in; fade-out).
- You can NOT modify the work itself (e.g. remix the track, add lyrics to the track).
By purchasing an Agency subscription, you will be granted the following usage rights:
- Modify or adapt the track to synchronize one track with one video or audio content that is published online:
- Use the track in any professional, corporate, commercial videos, advertisements.
- Use the track in any audio content.
- Publish the project online (website, video channel, podcast,…).
- Whitelisting 10 (YouTube) social media accounts.
- Permission to whitelist third-party YouTube social media accounts.
- You can cut the track, use loops of it and change its volume (fade-in; fade-out).
- You can NOT modify the work itself (e.g. remix the track, add lyrics to the track).
If your broadcasting, commercial usage rights, or whitelisted channels differ from those in personal, professional, or agency subscriptions, then the Enterprise Subscription may be more suitable for you.

Subscribing to the Jamendo Catalog
To get your own Catalog Subscription and gain unlimited access to the Jamendo Licensing Catalog:
- Navigate to the pricing page on the Jamendo Licensing website.
- Click on Subscriptions.
- Select the subscription plan that will work best for you. You will be redirected to the checkout flow.
- Choose your desired payment method and add the required information.
- Add your billing address.
- If you have a coupon code, make sure to apply it before confirming your purchase.
- Finally, click Confirm purchase.
- Download your invoice by clicking View Details.
Once you've completed the checkout, you can go back to the website and start downloading the tracks you'd like to use in your projects.
What to do After Subscribing
After you've completed your purchase, you'll need to generate your License Certificate, download your track and learn how correctly credit the Artist..
Your Billing Cycle
When subscribing to Jamendo's Catalog, you can choose to sign up for to a monthly or an annual subscription plan. This selection defines your billing cycle, which means you'll be automatically be charged either monthly or annually provided your subscription hasn't been cancelled.
Jamendo In-Store operates on an automatic renewal system, so you don’t need to worry about manually renewing your subscription and license certificate. You’ll be informed in advance before any renewal takes place, and you’ll always have the ability to check the date of your next billing cycle directly in your account settings.
Upgrade your Catalog Subscription
Do you need to upgrade your subscription because the scope of your project has changed? We can help!
To upgrade your Catalog Subscription, please reach out via our contact form and you let us know how the broadcast/commercial scope of your project has changed.
Upgrades to your Jamendo Catalog subscription can only be processed while your existing subscription is active. Additionally, you must confirm and verify that the project utilizing the musical works remains the same, with only the broadcast and/or commercial aspects being broadened.
Cancel your Catalog Subscription
You can cancel your subscription directly from your Jamendo Licensing account.
To cancel your subscription:
- Navigate to the Information tab of your Jamendo Licensing and log into your account.
- On the right side of the Personal Information section you will see the Manage subscription button. Click on it.
- Click on Close Subscription.
- Choose the reason for your cancelation and click Submit.
Once you've cancelled your subscription, you will be notified via email of the cancellation. You will be able to use your subscription by the end of your current subscription cycle.
Frequently Asked Questions
With the Jamendo Catalog Subscription, you obtain Standard License certificates for the music you choose to download, license and incorporate into your projects.
The Standard License provided with the catalog subscription plan encompasses all online video projects, including YouTube and social media content, digital advertising, monetized videos, website videos, and beyond.
We do not set a limit on the number of tracks you can license or download. However, to guarantee fair use of the music, we have set a daily limit of 50 license (ownership certificate) downloads per day.
If you reach this limit, you will need to wait until the following day to be able to download more licenses/certificates. Again, there is no limit on track downloads but only on the number of license certificate you download within 24 hours..
One license grants you the right to use a single track in one video or multimedia project.
A "project" is defined as a single audio creation, audiovisual creation, or multimedia creation that is synchronized with the track.
This definition applies to all types of licenses, including Standard, National, National Full, Enterprise, and Enterprise Full.
Examples of what constitutes a single project include:
- One single audio creation: For instance, a podcast episode or a radio advert.
- One single audiovisual creation: For example, a video or a theatre production.
- One single multimedia creation: Such as a video game or a mobile application.
Each license type provides different scopes of use, but all are based on the synchronization of a single track with one project.
When using a track under a Catalog license, you need to credit the artist and the track, in the following format:
Name of the Artist — Name of the Track — Provided by Jamendo
This mention does not necessarily need to be directly in the video itself. For example, if you're using the track in a YouTube video, you can include the credit in the video description without any issue.
The key is that viewers should be able to easily find the track's name and artist if they wish to do so. Ensuring this information is accessible is the most important aspect of proper attribution.

All your licenses have unlimited validity. This information is also included on the license certificate.
If you cancel your subscription, your licenses will stay available for download in your dashboard and can still be used for the video designated in their certificate.
